so i know its been some time, my bike has been in line at the shop and they finally looked at it. apparently its my fuel pump, but heres the thing i think their trying to screw me cause they want 200 to order the pump and another 500 to put it in. now ive seen the pump, its right by the reserve tank switch, why would they want 500 to do something so simple? am i missing something?? when i asked the guy he started talk about how its a 3.5 hour job and involves taking the airbox and carbs out. lol waT?

I had similar issuses recently but when I purchased the bike it had no pump on it. I got a used pump from a member her for like $30. I got some help identifying the hoses and bam hour or so later she was back up and running. Check out my thread called "fuel pump ??" has pictures. Most deff run with a fuel pump. That's why mine went down because of The prolonged use with no pump. Hope this helps!

i dont want to seem overbearing but just in case you forgot, i said this earlier, if it is your fuel pump it might be your contacts. if it is you can replace them for about 40 bucks. here's the thread, shows what bad ones look like, tells you where to get them and how to replace them. real nice write up from IDoDirt

Those are your float bowl drains/overflows.
Take a screwdriver and make sure each one of the screws, right by each of those holes, are closed. It could also be that floats are sticking and the bowls are over flowing with fuel and draining out those. Not sure if the f3's do in fact have the "overflow" in there carbs, If they dont then one of those screws are just lose, and you need to tighten it.
