So I started my bike today for the first time since winter started, and it doesn't want to stay running with out the choke on. If the choke is set it will idle a round 3K rpm, but if you begin to close it it stalls every time. If the the throttle is twisted about half way i can turn the choke off, but as soon as you lower the rpms, it stalls. I have installed brand new plugs and a new K&N filter, so any other input or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I have also ordered a new fuel filter?

gummed carbs
clogged fuel filter

I betcha it's one of those 3.

 

check the platinum contacts on the fuel pump

 

Also watch out for critters making homes in your air box....

 

You may want to check your idle screw. Just under your gas switch on the side.I just bought mine for 1200 and she thought something major was wrong with it. I just had to screw the idle screw in.May want to check that out.
