Ok guys, I appreciate all the feedback. The ticking noise I undersand is the cam tensioner and I am looking into getting one from the link that was posted. One more question that I have is......Is this ticking hurting my bike and should I get one ASAP???????


I also commented on how there is a weird noise when I am in neutral and the clutch is out.....it is like a rattling. Is this hurting my bike or is it nromal?????

I dont know how different bike tranny's are from cars, but in a car if you get a ticking/knocking sound when the clutch is out, even in neutral, it is usually the throwout bearing, but like i said I'm not even sure if bikes have those?

Yeah I have the same thing with my 95 f3, I was also wondering that maybe I should get a tensioner myself, also when I open the throttle up what is the whistling noise that sounds like a turbo?

 

The clutch noise is the Clutch Basket. Its perfectly normal.

 

Well, I have an APE tensioner and I am still getting some non-welcome ticking after a 1200km trip. sounds like its coming frmo the bottom end, center of the motor. No clue what it is though, drives me wild. You can't hear it once your underway and moving but at every stop and idling, its loud!!
