Default handlebar ?

on a 98 f3 when turing right my fingers touch the tank but when turning left theres plenty of room from the tank is this normal. or is something messed up. i took the tank off but it dont slide over at all i thought about makeing the holes bigger so it would slide over.

on my 96 it is the opposite, the clip on actually will hit the tank all the way to the left, for my case one of my forks is bent causing the stops on the tree to stop the turn with plenty of room to the right but not soon enough to the left

while you are riding straight are your bars perfectly straight or do you have to hold them at a slight angle?

The clipons twist on the forks. Do NOT drill out the mounting holes on your tank. That is some ghetto fixing and will probably create other problems for you. Just loosen your clipons and adjust them to the right position.

it actually sounds easier to do it the right way than the ghetto rig it.

i took the bike out yesterday and i did find out the head stem bearings are shot. maybe that could cause that little bit of my problem. and i have a fork seal that is leaking so im getting all that stuff fixed.
