Default GPS does not lie

Ok I used GPS Speedo an app for driod. Everyone knows they are very accurate. I have a super clean 1998 f3 with just over 12 k on her. I've got 142 jets across the carbs.(the largest that can be installed) K&N air filter. Full Muzzy exhaust. I went down 1 up front up 2 in back. So I lost some of my top speed. took her out last week and when the rev limiter kicked in GPS read 148mph. What's crazy is my speedo was reading 175. That thing was way off. So there it is. My f3 tops out at 148. If I put stock sprockets back on I might push 160 down a hill. My 2003 cr 250r surprised me at 79 mph with GPS. Thats with a low end torque pipe. I have a racing pipe that I have yet to install for higher rpms. Might be able to get 85 with it on. I'll find out soon enough.

Not sure what your redline is but gearing commander says the top speed at redline (If it is 12k)with a -1/+2 set-up is 134.6mph on your bike, and 151mph with stock set-up.

Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator

Not saying it didn't happen but sometimes they glitch, I had my GPS in my backpack on and when I got to my location it said top speed on the trip was over 250km/hr and I never went over 200km/hr

And as for your speedometer on your bike. You need a speedohealer that re-calibrates it for your set-up. As you have it know you are adding almost 20% more km's on your bike then you are actually doing.

Yeah the healer might be in the future. I ran it twice at 14k rpms. The rev limiter kicks in at 14. Each time 148mph. It's accurate.

That k&n hurts performance more than it helps it....

Why do you say that. I've got more fuel and air going in the engine. I could see how it could effect performance if I was still at factory specs. Also now that I think about it your the first I've ever heard say that. I'm pretty good at turning a wrench myself. Id have to disagree with you.

K&N isn't always an improvement. i would've said exactly what you just did until i found out that my bmw loses a few hp when you put on a K&N.
