yep. changing your gearing will sacrifice top speed but get you there a hell of a lot faster. with -1,+2 it'll bring your top mph from around 165-135. but who needs to go that fast all the time? after I did my sprocket/chain conversion I can bring the bike up in 3rd gear. thats on a '95 F3. it's all throttle control and clutch.

Oh Bologna!
Any washable air filter is better than an OEM paper element!
There expensive, restrictive and bad for the enviroment and not to mention an easy way for the manufacture to draw you back into the dealership after your initial purchase to spend more of your hard earned money on their products.
But I do have to give them credit though, it's a great marketing idea!
The only exception for when not to use a washable filter is when your running a fuel injected motor.
The filter oil applies itself to the Mass air sensor testing wires and throws off it's readings after time, and you have to clean the sensor more often than normal.
Buy the time you purchase 3 OEM paper elements (1 riding season) you would have more than enough money to purchase a replacement K+N filter and cleaning kit.
Plus in theory a less restrictive air filter element means more air flow and a more efficient and more powerfull engine...
This can be argued all day long and then some, I am buying my 35th motorcycle this weekend and I am on my 8th truck now and each and everyone of one of those vehicles has had a K+N airfilter installed and I have never had a engine fail from dirt getting past one of these filters.
I use washable filters and I think there the cats ***, BTW I have one on my Honda Masters Lawn Mower and it's 8 years old and it's still cutting strong!
