Have a troll through some of the previous posts, see wot can happen to them, not all bikes will have the same probs though. I have had to replace the regulator, a common problem. There has been a GSXR option of a reg transplant on here lately, but I just went for a heavy duty unit & had no further worries. CCT can go to, but not always, & you can get a better replacement.
Apart from that its all good, great bike, comfortable, mild/wild power, when you need to boogie, it will lift its skirts & go & put a big smile on your face doing it. They handle really well, & with a good set of non OEM pads, will stop just as well to. If cared for & serviced, will run forever. In short a great bike, I love mine, had it for 10 years.

Had mine 10 years, lovin it! I've had the exact same problems that Pacemaker said. The shipping cost for the bike... don't know. The bike weighs in at about 430 lbs. (I think) when wet. I believe it should weigh in the area of about 400 lbs when drain of liquids (Oil, gas, and coolant). The crates that bikes are shipped in (never measured one, just seen them) are probably in the area of 120 in. x 48 in. x 54 in. These dimensions are all approximate so there is going to be some + or - going on. Without zip codes, it's hard to give a dollar value. What part of Oregon are you from? I'm from Salem myself.

I bought mine new in 1998 and have less than 10,000 miles on it .. it is a superb bike and I love it ... the last of the steel frame CBRs were so good and well sorted ... mine has never missed a beat apart from the time a couple of years back the carbs gummed up through not running it over winter but not the bikes fault ..get a good one and you won't look back :-) so totally reliable and nicely finished being a Honda ..

well the bike im looking at has a cracked fiber glass fairing... so i can either repair that or replace them. he claims it fell over when he moved states. and i kind of beleive him because there are no scrape marks or scratches anywhere. another thing is that he says between 6-7 k theres a some sluggish or hesitation while cruising.. could that be the carbs? or somtheing else? also what kind of gas mileage do these bikes get when in good working order?

The only problem with these bikes is the R/R...i got a replacement "tourmaster" one i think..with cooling fins on it and havent had a problem. If the fairings are fiberglass, they are not stock fairings so it seems as though the bike might have had a rough life previous to those fairings installed. Sluggish anywhere may be carb related, its always a good idea to run some carb cleaner periodically just for sh*ts n giggles.

I usually run about 50 miles per gallon whenever i fill up.
