Default Fuse blowing issues....need suggestions..

Just bought a cbr 600 f3, was riding it last night and it just died. i tried to restart it and it wouldnt turn over, but the lights didnt dim.. found a blown fuse in the ignition/starter fuse location, replaced it, started it, ran for 30 secs then went to put it in gear and it died again, this time everything shut off, lights ect, looked at the battery fuse, it was blown, replaced it, turned the ignition on, and then when i hit the start button, it killed everything again, blown fuse... so i got out the multimeter and found that the short was after the starter relay. Any suggestion as to what it may be, im going to check over all the pos wires after that to make sure they are properly shielded, but could a bad starter cause these issues?

ok, so i went through the electrical system and found a few things:

1: my headlight relay was full of water dried it out even though its prob bad already
2: found a wire that was rubbing part of the front fairing stay, fixed it
3: the previous owner had eliminated the kick stand shut off and it was grounding out, fixed it.

started the bike up, rode it for about an hour, then it blows another fuse, checked all my fixes, they are good, but its blowing fuses again as soon as you turn the key on crap! at least it dies in convenient places, not leaving me stranded too bad...

I"m having the same problem right now for the f2. I can't seem to figure out why it keeps on blowing a fuse also.

i am having the same issue with my 98 F3. i keep blowing the ignition fuse. my battery is also dead like there is a drain on the charging system. none of my lights work except my high beam. i think the bulbs got blown. i'm going to take them out later to check them. i just put on a new voltage regulator also. when i hook up a 12v and turn on the bike i blow the fuse imediately. i put a 30 amp in there and the bike would try to turn over but it seems like there is no spark. it always starts right away so i am thinking there is no spark. unfortunately i also got some smoke from my cdi. guessing with the 30 amp fuse it was letting way too much through. so i'll deal with that later. still got to figure out what's blowing the ignition fuse. i guess we can all work together on this one.
