im getting a popping/grinding nose when im going around 3k rpms only in first or 2 around the tire/chain area...

how do you know when the chain needs to be chain, or the clutch?!?!

i think its my tranny..

Sounds like a ****ty chain. Oil/wax it and see if its over adjusted or out of adjustment and needs replacing. If so do both sprockets and chain as well.

 

or it could be your rear tire bearing
