ok, finally looked it up for you guys.

if you wanna bypass the relay its the BLACK and BLACK/BLUE wires.

1. unplug the fuel pump relay

2. find the 2 wires.

3. get a piece of wire thatll fit into the plug

4. jumper the BLACK and BLACK/BLUE wires together

5. turn the ignition on

there. when you do that, your pump should turn on. if you wanna make sure, unplug the hose that goes to the carbs. it should flow fuel out.

Good luck to you 2 and god speed

ok i did it and my pump doesn't click at all. when i turn the ignition on i can feel it move (vibrate once)like its getting power, but nothing afterwards. it doesn't move or vibrate at all when i am trying to start it. i had it completely off before and hooked up to my gas tank and gave it straight power and it pushed out gas so i assumed that it was in working condition, maybe i was wrong? any insight???

so i straight up hooked the main gas line to my fuel tank and low and behold the bastard finally started up. so that pretty much narrows it down to the fuel pump....anyone know where i can get a fuel pump at a descent price???

You can bypass the fuel pump, but when you are doing long pulls in 5th or 6th gear, your float bowls will go dry.Your ram air pressurizes the float bowls and they run dry. This is where the fuel pump comes in.It adds an additional 4-6 psi to keep the float bowls from running dry.The trick to keep your bike without a fuel pump from shutting off is to keep the fuel tank topped up.I learned this the hard way.Nothing like having a 20 bike lead on the first lap and having your bike shut off [:'(]

Fuel pump is an electric device,so if I were you,I'd get a new one.How long would a used starter or alternatorlast on your car? Not long, right?

KJohnson, if I take my pump off, just for normal riding around town I should be fine? My pump just died a couple days ago and I can't get it to work hooking it direct. But if I don't need one for back and forth to work riding, that would surely clean up that area in the looks dept.

Sweet thanks. I'll try that until I get a new one or figure out if I want to keep it that way.
