Default Front End Fork Questions.

i got into a bad wreck on my bike and im fixing it all slowly, i get to the front end an notice that when my handel bars and triple trees are lined up and stright the front wheel is not lined up.
It faces the left more so its not stright. Dos that mean my forks are bent or do i need to losin an twist the trees and forks and make stright again. Some one help me out plz.

Chance are your forks are bent, but try loosening them up 1st & try & rearrange things, but don't use to much force, as you can stuff it up more. Forks can be fixed though.

ok two more questions is it cheaper to fix for or take a chance on buying used. And could it be that the ront axel is slightly bent or twisted could that be the reason the forks are not alined right. thanks for the help guys. and if anyone has a set for forks let me know could i just buy a set of forks or do i have to buy the triple trees also.

Make sure the lower tree is straight. The upper doesn't bend. The lower does.

Make sure the fork tube uppers (the shiny part) does not have any creases in them.

Well my bike is droped in the front about 2 inches but it has a dent in it from the handel bar hitting it some how and the legs are no bent either so the trees must have been really loos from when i got the bike for it to have twisted and hit the 2 inches of fork exposed, and the trees are stright and lined up all i did was twist and tighten back and its as stright as possible befor the wreck it was twisted and i didnt know wat it was untill i did wreck now its fixed I THINK
