Back in November I bought a motor from a 97' F3...with 28,xxx kilometers on the clock. I heard it run and he ripped it thru the gears for me and It sounded great... but like an Idiot I didnt request a compression test before I took it home. Its the middle of a long winter so I decided to take the head off and got it resurfaced (only needed .004"), cleaned and I put it back together with new valve stem seals and purchased a head gasket from Honda.

then when i was turning the engine over by hand to set the timing mark I noticed this in Cyl. # 1 ....

iam ,not happy ! i was hoping to get the bike on the road without much more money, but it looks like I wont be riding in spring
