Got my first bike today!! A 96 f3 with 14k on it. Painted victory red...different cam, cut d&d pipe,new qualifiers...little crap. I feel kinda stupid, but how does the seat come off? Will post pics tommarow.

 

wow that must be a cool bike to have! new cams eh, how much power do they add? to take the seat off you have to take the rear fairings off. get the manual there is a link for it on this site, just search.

 

Two black plastic lugs on the lowest part of the rear fairings, turn them then pull the rear fairings off. Then two bolts about two thirds towards the rear of the bike, undo them then slide the seat off. Job done, in a simplified form.

 

www.stephygee.com you can get your online manual here . but yes as it was stated above take off the side fairings , and you will see 2 bolts (1 on each side) i believe it is a 10mm or 12mm but not posetive. just un do those and the seat will lift right up
