final drive and gear box oil?

Default final drive and gear box oil?

Hi guys, do we need to change these oil for CBR F3? Final drive oil and gear box oil? Thanks

Yes, but its very tricky. You'll have to remove the muffler bearings and repack them upon re-installation. The gear box screws have reverse threaded torx bits of a metric size that is very difficult to get in this country. But you should be able to find that tool for a mere $200 or so (that's why the dealers charge so much for this service). But while you're at it, you may as well change your headlight fluid. okay, I was only kidding with the previous post.

The final drive is simply our chain. Just clean it and lube it every 500 miles.

The gear box uses the same oil as your engine. So that gets done when you do your routine oil change.

OH, u guys scared the sh*t out of me? That was what I thought too after I have posted the threat. The final drive is the fancy term for the front smaller sprocket, that it. THanks guys.

Nah, the final drive is the fancy word for the method of power transfer to the rear wheel...

The chain.

Honking fluid...

Now for something more serious... you MUST adjust your wheelie lever, 2 or 3 clicks past Delta is a safe starting point. Good luck!
