Figuring out my air solenoid setup

Ive been looking into why i have a flat spot around 5-7 Thousand RPM. Figured I would see what was going on with my air solenoid valve and hoses. I found an interesting setup that a previous owner had done. It seems that I have California model bike air intake setup, but I know that I have a 49-state bike motor, as was stated by the shop that found it was incorrectly timed for the cams. (Apparently the timing is a little different between the two models, due to the higher lift and/or longer duration of the 49 state cams.)

So, ive got two diagrams out of the service manual, one that I attempted to draw out my current air valve hose routing, and the other shows my questions.

Any one who has any ideas about whats going on with my setup, please chime in, im looking to decide if any of this **** is needed.

This is what my setup is right now. This is what I found after removing my tank. Should be pretty simple to see, the red is one side from air intake, blue is the other. I have no solenoid, don't have the 'PAIR' device(cali emissions part) or any other hoses or pieces.
My questions are on the next picture ive got.

So what do all of the non-cali bikes look like at the solenoid hosing areas that Ive circled? Do you have hoses anywhere at all connected to the three circles Ive made? If so, how are they routed?
Finally, where/how are the two hoses coming off the intake tube routed?
I would love to see any pics of peoples setups, either air solenoid deleted or still stock. Hope to hear from you guys and see what Ive got going on. Thanks
