It's a little sprocket looking thing. If you go to Factory Pro's website you can see it there. I'd link it but it stays factorypro.com the whole time.

Take your ignition pulse generator cover off and it goes a shaft inside of it.You will see the stock advancer in there. It is held on by I think a 14mm bolt.To get it off put you bike in 6th gear and hold the rear brake down.do the same fortighting the bolt back up.

The stator cover is located on the left side of the engine (if you are sitting on the bike). Actually what you need to remove is the Ignition Pulse Generator Cover, located on the right side of the engine (again, if sitting on the bike). Be prepared in advance and get a new cover gasket, in case if it breaks when taking the cover off. It's only 6-7 bucks.
Have fun!,
Nick.

Thanks Tex thats what I ment I was typing in a hurry and counldn't think from a crying 2 year old getting up from his nap.I guess the gasket is luck of the draw.I never had to replace mine but would be a good idea to have one on hand. Also make sure to not lose the pins that are in the cover sometimes they stick.
