Hey guys!

First post, but definitely not the last. I've got a 96 F3 and have been tuning and diagnosing this past weekend.

I'm looking for a stator and cam chain tensioner. Found a dude selling these parts on his 2003 F4i and was wondering if anyone knows if they'll fit my F3. I've checked schematics, and the parts do look exactly the same, but they have different part numbers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It depends if the stator will bolt to the engine cover, I have no idea if it will, and it also depends what the flywheel size and weight is on your F3 is compared to the F4i one.

Id buy a new CCT, as its not that expensive of a part and they have been known to fail. So I wouldn't go used...

 

Yah, thats fair. Just came across a dude locally parting out his f4i and thought I'd give it an investigation.
