Default F4 tail on an F3?

I have a 98 F3 that needs new a new tail. Both rear side pieces are pretty hashed. The front plastics are in almost mint. I really like the look of the F4 rear and was wondering how hard it is to swap these. Has anyone done it? I have access to a HUGE shop with almost every tool I would need, I just am not sure if I have the ability.

I would like to do the F4 tail with the integrated tail light/turn signal. I don't mind having to relocate my licence plate if need be.

Is this worth it or should I just pick up an aftermarket F3 race seat?

Help me out guys, I have 2 more months of snow to play with this toy.

Not sure but i'm thinking of getting a '97-'08 tail for my '95F3. The curves & light look alot better than the '95 OEM tail... I'll do some research and see what i can find on F3 to F4 tail.. I know if you search conversions on this site it pulls up a few, but it's mostly about F4I's. Might help a little though. Good luck!

I've been looking for some info on this for almost a year for my '97 F3. One thing i do know is that people have done the conversion, i think i just might have to grow the ***** and buy the F4 tail and figure it out on my own. Any info would be appreciated.

I hear ya Johnny. I bought the f4 tail today and will start the project this weekend. I will post pics as I go along. I will be pulling all the stock stuff off tonight so I will click away as I go. I have a pretty large heated shop to work in and the benefit of having a buddy who is a fabrication guy so I am fairly spoiled but I will take notes and maybe video so there is a definitive How-To. Now lets just hope I don't F it all up.
