I wrecked my bike and amturning it in to a street fighter. I want to elliminate the gauges and wiring to clean up the front end. When you pull the two master plugins on opposite sides of the gauge panel the bike won't turn over and none of the signals work. I want to hard wire everything together, minus the gauges, and hide it all under the tank. I'm handey when it comes to mechanices and moving parts, but have absolutly no idea about electrical. I just want to make the bike run without the gauges. Sorry for not explaining, thank you.

Get a Clymer manual for the bike. They have awesome wiring schematics that include wire colors and function.

A pink wire runs off the speedo through a relay and operates an air ventsolenoid that opens/closes at 12mph. You don't really care what it does below 12, but you want it work right above 12. If you ground it, it's locks the solenoid in the right place.

You could just put an F4i dash / cluster on it, there is a good article on it including a way to mount it for people who want to make street fighters out of their F3's

The answer was given, the problem is solved. The pink wire was the key. Thanks for all the feedback.
