Hey guys, I have a dilemna here. Two bikes offered to me at about the same price.
A yzf is a 97 (blue and white) with 3k on the clock. I can probably get him down to $2.2k/2.3k
And a CBR f3 is a 98 with a new chain, custom paint (minor, repairable scratching to the right fairing), newer battery and only 14,000k on the clock. I can probably get it for 2k/2.2k
What do you all think?
Thanks!

I'd say go with the CBR. They have plenty of all-around power, take into turns easily, and leave you plenty of room to grow. My first bike was an F3, and now I own yet another. Its a good bike for the beginner-intermediate rider in terms of control, and when you feel you need to step it up a notch and get more power, just throw on a 520 sprocket conversion kit for the extra torque. In addition, Honda's, especially the CBR line, are BULLETPROOF. These bikes can withstand a beating time and time again and keep on pulling just like the day you bought it, even after 50k miles. Just treat it good, respect the power, and it will serve you well in return.
