Default F3 to F4I swap

I know im prolly posting in the wrong are but im new to the forum.

I want to swap all the fairing and gauges on my bike to the F4I, i have a 94 F2 that has been completely swapped out to an F3 engine, trans, harness and all. ive done a little research into the fairing swap and i have some questions about the tail and the headlights.

1. it the tail a bolt on so long as i dont go with the split seat?
2. Is the headlight mainly bolted to the fairing like the F3 is or will i have to modify my fairing stay?

i would really like to see some pics of the proccess or at least of the F4I parts in question so i can see what ill have to work with.

Thanks for any info in advance

just depends on how much free time you have and how mechanical you are! Never done f4i fairing but search for it we have a few members that have done it, and blended some f4i fairing with r1 fairings. Different tail fairings too. It can be done and has. NO to the gauges....just no! Engine harness.....your on your own! Keep in mind that you will run into problems with the swingarm. Not a straight up swap!

thanks for the reply, ive got all i need to do the gauges seems very simple to do. i have a fully stocked garage several welders, plasma cutter, steel and just about every snap on tool made (Used to biuld minitrucks) so a little modification doesnt scare me i was just wonder how much fittment issues i would have with the side fairing and the headlight portion. The swing arm off a VTR its a SSSA will fit i just gotta machine a sleeve for it so the F3 axle will fit. My main concern it to get the Headlight and side fairing in the correct spot at this point i havent purchased tham yet but will soon.

I would like to swap the rear on my f3 to f4i.. I hate the single seat I wish there was a way to just make it 2 seats without replacing the whole rear

Pretty sure if you've done airbag setups and the trick push-pull levers on minitrucks, you should have no problem with these but machine work! https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif

yeah the air bag setups require alot of modification for the trucks but after you do 5 or so you kinda get used to it most of the time the hardest part is running the airlines were they dont get pinched!

from what i have researched on you have to use the F4I's subframe if you want the split seats and since the F3 or F2 has a welded subframe you would have to cut it off and reweld the F4's on or weld tabs for the F4I subframe to bolt to.
