f3 carb cleaning advanced
well another fun job getting high off fumes carb cleaning. anywho heres where im at i have the back doors open cleaning the jets/needles, the first two were dirty as ****, i remove the floats and pins - clean them with degreaser. and as for the jets i use carb cleaner and a compressor airline. i no the idler jets are usually them main culprit but all the jets were really dirty. intrestingly the 2nd two chamber were really clean. and looked like there jetted ( bigger holes in the needles ) i dont know why the guy i bought the bike from would only do two? but is this standard ? #1 and #2 the first two idler jets are clogged completly. i ususally use a twisty tie (like from a garbage bag to poke thru them then the compressor does the work.) but i cannot get a open hole on the idler jets. how can i clean them? how can i remove the idler jets?

the f3 has two different sized jets on the different carbs from the factory 135s on the outside, and 138s on the inside, so the center carbs should be bigger, so don't fiddle with them bud, I'm looking right at the copy of the service manual as I write this. The idle jets should all the the same 140s. So unless 138 means smaller, which I have no way of knowing, it's done right, if it does mean smaller, and anyone feel free to jump in and inform me, then your carbs were done backwards.

If you can't get anything through one that doesn't have a screwdriver slot, then just keep working at it. I'm assuming that you're removing the paper/plastic from the twistie tie right ?
It should essentially look like this when done.
