RE: F2 vs F3
Newer pistons, lighter conrods, more compact combustion chamber, shorter inlet tracks, 36mm carbs, revised exhaust, 12 position rebound damping, stronger triple clamps. less linear rising rate on rear shock, bigger wheel rims. went from 98 bhp to 105 (stated), White taco face & a sensor instead of speedo cable. Thats according to my Haynes. Different finish on the rear panel & side covers. But I would think it pretty much depended on wot you wanted to exchange, the difference in real world performance is minimal. The tank is the same, as is the frame. When they 1st came out, some journo's raved about the "better" model, just as they did & do about the subsequent models. Sure I can tell the difference from my F3 to my Nephews F4, but I'm happy (more than) with the F3. By the way, like yer bike!
