Default F2, f3?

So i am coming into a F2, or F3 (I figured I go with the F3 because.... I really don't know ) Anyways the F3 is a little more beat up, but its a better price then the F2. I am new to the CBR World and don't know anything about them (still new to actually working on bikes.) but can someone tell me the difference between the F2 and the F3 the F2 I am looking at is a 1992, and the F3 is a 1997.

Thanks again
Peace

essentially as a whole both are great starter bikes.
there are, however differences in the 2 bikes which even startled me
(the f2 doesn't have a fuel pump or any of the ram air!)

As far as performance goes, my friend has an f2 and I have an f3.
bout 4 years between them, yet his bike stays with mine neck n' neck.

But the 97 you are talking about is a bike that's got 5 years of updated hardware and features and body modifications and such.
Both are strong steel frames, and both will need maintenance like a baby if you want them fine tuned.

But they are both hondas. They will last forever.
My bike is over 50K and running like a champ!

I've found it easier to find replaceable f3 parts on ebay, which means cheaper maintenance in the long run.

The f3 is a bit of a whor^&(*&)(*& because she can up convert very well.
aka f4i gauge swap, f4i fairing swap, 600rr tail, blah!

The f2 can do some of those as well, but it has a cable speedo and cant go digital gauges like the f3 baybee

I have both, and have had both on the track.F3 is 10-15% better in every area compared to the F2.And the F2 is a good bike.
