Exhaust Question
I just recently purchased my first bike a couple weeks ago. 1996 Honda CBR 600 F3 Smokin' Joe. Its a great bike so far, only 15k on the od.
The exhaust I have is a full Yoshimura exhaust, and its really loud heh. We were going to repack the muffler but when i looked inside, its completly gutted out. It looks like its an RS-3 but im not sure. It has R and D under the Yoshimura emblem but I contacted yosh and they cant help me out.
58cycle.com has http://store.58cycle.com/product_p/y...sert%20rs3.htm, and http://store.58cycle.com/product_p/y...ing%20road.htm. I purchased both but it just doesnt seem like its the right stuff. the packing looks like a pillow, i mean i could use it as a pillow and the baffle/insert just doesnt seem right. We are still trying to get into the muffler but every screw is stripped out.
Anyone have a pic of what the baffle should look like and what packing i should really buy? Thanks in advance

Every time I buy packing, it looks like a fiberglass mess that will cause a big enough dust cloud to choke a midget. Should come in square sections about 1" thick. No images from here, but if you've ever seen the insulation around a water heater, or some wood burning stoves, that's what it looks like except black and grey.
