Exhaust Back-Pressure Needed?

Exhaust Back-Pressure Needed?
I've found a nice loud exaust system for my bike, but that tells me that it has very little back-pressure. I've been toldyears ago that back-pressure isrequired for the engine to operate correctly.
Does it really matter?
How about installing this exhaust without jetting it?
Thanks in advance...

I've heard the Can by it's self only does so much. And that you gain everything from the Headers from an exhaust system. So a Can(Muffler) by it's self will do some but I believe it won't be too much.
Which for my bike I'll have a Full Vance&Hines exhaust. Stainless Steel tubing and Carbon Fiber can. I have carb work done but the stock jets are still in there. I just have new needles and softer springs for a faster rev and better midrange. I'm going off a paper filter which is best for the F3s(But we are going to try a BMC on the dyno to see if it makes a difference). So my jets are stock and I will have a Full Exhaust system. Yet I've been running a Stock Exhaust for a while anyways which does restrict midrange.
Can alone I don't see making a huge difference. But have heard if you run straight pipe(No can) that it will mess up your valves.
So really it's hard to say. There are those who will tell you to re-jet if you buy a new pair of tennis shoes and others who don't. I just trust my guy because he use to race F2/F3s years ago and he is a racing motor and suspension specialists with lots of dyno/track time.

You'd better believe you need back pressure.
If not, your combustion chamber will be lean, chewing up your valves, ruining performance and gas mileage.Gas vapors will escape if there isn't something to hold it in so it can burn efficiently.Muffler packing isn't expensive, maybe 15 bucks.Don't go to Home Depot and get house insulation. You'll need to re-pack it again soon if you do.
