Electrical issues.
I am building a 1998 model cbr f3 it was stolen at one point so the wiring harness is all hacked up from them hot wiring it. I just purchased a new harness online but i was wondering...... I have this harness all plugged in and i am getting no juice to the gauges or anything. My battery terminals are good and and the battery has plenty of life..... anyway the key switch has power and when on it is sending power out but i am wondering where this power is going.... it should kick on the fuel pump and the gauges right??? Even if things like the sidestand switch is unplugged???? I dont get it... anyone have a wiring diagram thats easier to read than the one in the service manual????? Thanks Ryan Also should I have anything on the battery other than the one power to starterlead and the one negative to block lead? Thanks

RE: Electrical issues.
How do you know that power is being distributed when you turn the key on?
The only thing your bike should do when turning the key is, all lights come on, the fuel pump will sound, and you'll get a yellow sidestand, greenneutral and red oil light on the cluster.
I'm not positive, but I don't believe you can just not plug in the sidestand switch. It has to be connected, but you can override it. Why wouldn't you want your sidestand switch on?
Make sure everything is connected where it should be and see what happens. There is a member here from Georgia, Thunder is his username - he helped me out quite a bit with some wiring, he may be able to help you understand where stuff goes.
Good luck.
