RE: ebay plastics from hong kong??
Dont get me wrong the fairings look great but I am sorry its not worth it. Buy new or used oem , aftermarket , ebay, or go custom. I work in asia and I have seen poor quality knock offs for alot of sportbike products so remember you get what you pay for.

I advise anyone in buying this plastic to be careful. they are cheap for a reason. One little knock and the paint cracks. The holes don't match. One thing also that they do not have is the heat protective material that protects fairing from melting from the engin heat. Another point to be aware is if you are travelling at high speeds you might hear and see small craps forming from pravalling wind and debris. I know this as a bought a Repsol replica set for $400 and I was exited when I got it, but when I had to install it it was a total nightmare. you will see some that will say you may need to drill. If you drill the paint will crack, then the fairing is no longer good anymore. I advise people to use your best judgement. If using ebay try not to but from hong kong dealers. Pay the exta $300 buy direct from a US trader.

I'm not going to argue the benifit of buying Amercian. I will however, say again that eBay seller, "MUNG88," is a little more expensive ($360+ $240 shipping), but I HAVE SEEN THEM UP CLOSE.
The tabs and mounts do line up and while I can't guarantee how long they'll hold up, both setsI've seen made it through a hot and humid summer here in Miissouri. That's saying something.
Do what you will, and I would love it of we all bought American. Unfortunately as is the case with mane Americans, we're impatient and eager to stretch our dollars.

Understand that there are good merchant and bad merchants. If the MUN88 merchant sells a quality product then go for it. I suppose that is why we all come to forums for advice. Now you also have bad merchants that will sell such knock off products. I live in korea and I see products from china on the streets ranging from kids toys to tools. Some of the items are good but most of them are of poor /cheap quality and that is the reason why I do most of my shopping on base. Yes some of the items you will find in a base exchange still come from china but is a better quality that has been screened by the exchange service. So dealing with poeple on ebay I have found out that there is no screening process at all and you are always at risk. So if the fairings are cheap then more than likely you will get a cheap set of fairings.

Okay. If you don't buy a "Knock Off" fairings and want to go with a higher quality. What companies are out there then?
Other than Honda. Becuase the upper right fairing for my F3 was $490 for just the upper right fairing(Didn't include left fairing or the peice above the headlight nor the peice below it). If you bought all the plastic from Honda you could go out and just get a 600rr and be done with it.
The upper right fairing I got from ebay was a wrecked one off of an F3. I got it because I needed one and I only paid $35 for it. The rest of my fairings are fixable but would just need a upper right.
