dreaded exhaust headers
looking at my newly acquired 98 f3 the headers look well battered not had chance yet to take them off and see how bad but does anyone know of anywhere were they can be had only place i can find new is black widow at £ 350 a pop !!!! or e bay ones that look as bad as mine
What's wrong with yours? Are they dented, crushed and ripped open? Or just cosmetically challenged?
I've had good luck on eBay. Don't buy from individuals, but from professional breakers with good feedback rating and 30-day return policy. Here's good one:

Here's undamaged one with surface rust. Some light sandblasting and cover with Cerakote and it'd be better than new!

You can also set up automated searches that's send you alerts when new items go up. Look at all photos closely:

I’ll have to go check my attic, but I have a set of headers in decent shape that I can sell. Left over from when we installed Yoshimura headers several years ago. If you’re interested I can post photos. Note, I’m located in the US.
To answer your bolt question, the gauge panel bolts are M6 with an 8mm flanged head. Length is either 25 or 30mm. I’m going to be working on our bike this afternoon to install new mirrors and can check.
