dreaded exhaust headers

Unhappy dreaded exhaust headers

looking at my newly acquired 98 f3 the headers look well battered not had chance yet to take them off and see how bad but does anyone know of anywhere were they can be had only place i can find new is black widow at £ 350 a pop !!!! or e bay ones that look as bad as mine

What's wrong with yours? Are they dented, crushed and ripped open? Or just cosmetically challenged?

I've had good luck on eBay. Don't buy from individuals, but from professional breakers with good feedback rating and 30-day return policy. Here's good one:

ive got some raceglaze metal de oxidiser ill try that on them after a through inspection if there to far gone rust wise ill maybe try some high temp pain ...cheers

while im on does anyone know what size the ( is it ) the well nut is that goes in the trim next to the screen m8 ..m10 wanting to order some new ones to fix in

Default I have headers if you need them

I’ll have to go check my attic, but I have a set of headers in decent shape that I can sell. Left over from when we installed Yoshimura headers several years ago. If you’re interested I can post photos. Note, I’m located in the US.

To answer your bolt question, the gauge panel bolts are M6 with an 8mm flanged head. Length is either 25 or 30mm. I’m going to be working on our bike this afternoon to install new mirrors and can check.
