Default Does anyone make the actual 95-95 tail?

I have a 96 cbr and I don't need them now, but I only had the bike for a week before the winter, so I'm sure the inevitable noob drop or small low speed slide will happen next year at some point. Anyways, everyone sells 95-98 tails, but they only fit the 96 with the new tail light and what not. My problem is that I am not partial to that new aged cats eye tail light, so what kind of options do I have other than original production parts since everyone seems to make 97-98?

Ebay for used. Possibly Maier for an aftermarket replacement.

http://www.maier-mfg.com/shop.cfm?ac...modelyear=1995

Says specifically 1995-1996

Well going with maier usually means repainting so color doesn't matter.

If you're trying to find a OEM replacement with factory colors, you can buy brand new from ronayers.com, bikebandit.com or cheapcycleparts.com. The all have online micro-fiches of our bikes with brand new OEM parts...

And I don't think purple wasn't offered on the 95-96 F3s. They were ross white & black according to all the microfiches availible. Purple was 97-98 & SJE

It's the usa version and I've checked where they show the different bikes and it is a standard 96 paint job on the 600, and my shop says it is as well. It's definitely a factory job, no doubt in my mind.

Ah... actually, it's not a standard 96 paint job. It's a SJR (Smokin Joe's Racing) edition.

Didn't know they made SJRs in 96. My bad. Same websites -> OEM parts and under Hondas for 96 you'll see the CBR 600 SJR. That bike is purple.

I can assure you it is not a smoking Joe's edition, they came with a yellow front rim and black rear rim. Also the paintjob is completely different and has sponsors, I've seen a 96sje, and this definately is not it, however it is a standard 96 paintjob, I've seen it around everywhere.

I loved the way my bike originally looked before it went down,
but I would suggest finding a simple color and stick with it in replacement if your bike does fall, because replacing the exact color pieces can get pricey.

Another alternative might be to replace all the plastics now with crappy / unpainted / cheap ones so that once you are geared and well experienced you can put those original plastics back on.
