Did they ever make an erion racing f3?
haha, I had a feeling he was being sarcastic. I guess not a strong enough feeling not to ask though. I feel stupid. I am a newbie to bikes though (only had mine a week). Actually is there much of a performance difference between the F2 and F3? they are listed with the same power, but does the ram air help it on the high speed end?
There is a performance difference between the F2 and the F3.The F3 is a little better everywhere (brakes,front suspension,transmission,cylinder head,rear wheel width,carbs).
The 95-96 F3s are the same, with regard to performance (wiring is a wee-bit different). The 97s came with different carbs than the 95-96s,giving it about 3 more hp. The 98s have a different cylinder head, with more downdraft for increased efficiency, yielding 1/2 to 1 full hp on top over the 97s.This compliments the carbs better. But the powerband on the 98s are nicer feeling (read:smoother, more powerful) throughout the rpm range. If you lay the dyno runs on top of each other, then on paper, you'll see the improvement of the 98 over the 97.But you'll only feel the difference on the track. On the street,it ain't that big of a deal.
