Dead speedometer

So I've just bought an 98 F3, but when I got to test it, the speedometer was dead...

Neither the speedometer or the odometer works - but everything else on the dash works just fine, also the tachometer works just fine.

I just can't see how fast I'm going - which is kind of a problem..

Since I'm kinda new to bikes (this is my 2nd) I am wondering if anyone in here knows what is causing this?

I have removed all the plastics and tried to follow the cables running from the dash and nothing seems to be "disconnected" - I am not entirely sure though where the cable I am looking for connects to?

I am kind of a newbie and any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated :)

it could be your speed sensor located on rear wheel or the printed circuit board my F3 clocks don't work
.tacho .
speedo.
temp gauge
but the rest does , I found my printed board had died so bought a F4 (couldn't afforf the F4I ) set of clocks that I'm just about ready to install ill put a how to up if u fancy doing it mate

Thanks for the answer!

I have found that it indeed is the speed sensor, my problem at this point though is that it is disconnected from the 3pin connector on the right side of the bike.

Looking in the manual it should seem that the speed sensor is to be found like the atttached picture is showing.

I just can't seem to find anything that looks like something it connects to.

So if anyone could share a picture of the location of their speed sensor, or a series of pictures of how to locate it precisely it would be greatly appreciated.

I have spent multiple hours just trying to look and follow all different wires with no luck, which seems kind of odd to me - I'm on the verge of just giving up at this point

Edit. I have taken some pictures of the spot where the Speed Sensor is supposed to connect to, there are no holes whatsoever where it possibly could be connected, and it isn't there as you can see.
