not sure if the f3 toolkit has the tools you need or not, but you can find the kits online on ebay for 20 bucks

WTF? Lock nut? Am I missing something here, I believe you shuold only have to remove 4 bolts that are holding down the pressure springs. This is after reomoving the clutch cable and clutch cover, I'm not understanding what your hung up on?

Check this image and tell me what is giving you trouble.

The tools you will need are not in the tool kit. Take the clutch cover off, remove the 4 bolts & springs with the lifter plate. After that figure out what size socket you need, I believe it is a 27mm, then take a 1/2 in air gun & give the trigger a few squeezes. DO NOT hold the inner part of the clutch. You will end up taking fingers off. Since you broke off one of the arms, that & the nut will need to be replaced.
Nut part # 90241-KM9-000
Inner basket #22350-MV9-670.

the manual shows you need a special tool to hold the lifter plate still. Maybe i am reading it wrong. Definately got to replace the lifter plate and get a new nut but can't for the life of me get it off. It is pinned and i have removed this but can't turn the nut. I know what you are saying and as you turn the nut the inner plate turns just doing my head in this week want to get back to riding. AARRGGHH

on the picture i have broken one of the lugs on item 10 while trying to remove item 17.

In the manual the tool number is 07JMB-MN50300
07HGB-001000A (U.S.A. only)

We have the special tool here. But being that the bike is 15 years old sometimes older tools are hard to find around here. 1/2" gun with the correct socket size & I bet it will come off.
