Default Clutch losing grip at high RPM?

Basically, at high rpm, around 9 or 10k, the motor starts to freely spin, like the clutch is out or something, but then comes back at lower RPM. I'm not sure that's what it is, though...

Input?

cheapest potential fix is to loosen the clutch cable a little bit... if it is too tight then the clutch will slip.

[sm=exactly.gif] Im gonna guess you need to adjust the cable. Loosen the cable at the lever and turn the adjuster all the way in. Then go to the clutch cover and adjust it there. Then make any little adjustments at the lever when you get it started and try it out. If it still slips you will probably need to take the assembly out and see if the plates and discs are in spec (youll need a manual). You will be able to tell of the discs are wore out, cause they have groves all the way around and will be about wore flat if they are toast.
Good luck!

Sometimes, if you're in a pinch, you can switch the friction plates. Like take the two inner ones and switch em with the two outer ones.

The cable adjustment works, but, like above, may only be a temporary fix. Someone else said others ideas that are great too.
