Default China Kit Questions

Hey guys I just bought a China fairing kitand so far have the upper cowl pieces and had to modify them to fit. I have a few questions though.

Do they warp from heat easily? If they do, how do you stop the warping?

The 3 pieces behind the front tire, did you install them or no? The screw post are at the wrong angle and I dont want to cut and epoxy them back on.

Thanks for any help guys!

Warpage is fairly common. To prevent it, use aluminum duct tape on the back.

Thats what I was thinking of using. ShouldI put a few good layers down or just one?

What about the 3 pieces behind the front tire. Do those really need to be on? If they are not onwould possiblyhelp keep the plastic from warping do to the wind?

Keep them on. Just back them with that tape. I'd say 1 maybe 2 layers is sufficient.

If you don't put almost all of your fairings on, they will jitter in the wind, and probably start to snap off other mounting points.

I'll probably put 3 or 4layers just incase lol. Good point about the fairings gettinb blown around in the wind. I guess I'll have to fix the post the hard way to make it fit right.

I bought those fairing for my F3 and never even thought of the warping, wish i read this thread beforehand because they are all warped and it looks horrible. oh well live and learn. Now I ride the bike with the old beat up fairings that I wanted to replace anyway...
