Default Chain warped.

On my 98 f3 i think the chain is warped a bit. When i get on it i can here a click coming from the chain area. How big of a concern is this? Thanks.

Had that happen to mine when it was near the very end of it's life, but it was kinked. How many miles on the chain? Might be time for a replacement anyways.....

Dont know i bought the bike used with 28000 on it and ive put about 400 on it.

Mileage is not a real good indicator of wear, depends on how often & how well it was maintained & how much abuse it has been given. Check you wear indicator, if its near the end replace it.
Actually I recommend you replace it as a matter of course, just to be on the safe side, if you can afford it, its time to replace the sprockets as well.

Testing a used chain

Take a used chain and lay it on a hard surface like a garage floor.

Place the chain flat on the floor and grab each end of the chain and pull the ends toward each other.

A good chain will make a 1/4 of a circle or less, a junk chain will make a 1/2 circle or more.
