when i first bought the bike, and being my first bike i thought it was pretty damn fast compared to some other 600s that i have driven not owned. Changing those gears -1 in front +2 in rear, it is absolutly night and day. way more acceleration from the jump but you will lose top speed and on the highway rpms will be high just crusin, with the gear change it also effects mpg, miles on speedometer and mph.

How muchdid your MPG drop? On the freeway @ 80mph the RPMis about 6500,how much of a jump can I expect if I do what you did? I'm not to concerned about top speed, really don't havemuch interest in winding it out, already have atoy for that!!
