Hi I'm Rob. im new to the forum and a new rider. i scored a nice 98 cbr f3 bout 3 weeks ago. recently i was riding for bout 20 min and it bogged down and died no responce to throttle, then would die after warming up. i dont know very much bout bikes and would greatly appreciate any insight,thanks

 

Could do with some more details, like how long it takes to re-start the bike, will it start after it's been standing?

Sounds like it might be a blocked fuel tank breather.

I'm not familiar with you bike, but next time it stops, open the filler cap with your ear next to it. if you get a 'whoosh' sound you're getting a vacuum in the tank.

Also if you have a fuel pump on your bike, there may be a problem with that.

don't mean to threadjack buuut

My bike did that once, but I haven't heard it since the first or second time I opened the tank up. Could it have just unblocked itself?

 

it starts right bck up with the choke open i mean,if not it just cranks and dies out, hope this helps.

 

think i fixed it the tank vent hose was bent, i straightened it, im take it out and see what it do
