CBR 600fw 98 not running

Hi all.

My faithful steelie is non longer firing up. I'll give a rundown of what I've already done, but any thoughts would be appreciated.

1. Replaced ignition coils
2. New spark plugs
3. Carbs cleaned and balanced
4. New reg/rec (quality aftermarket)
5. Inspected stator
6.Inspected fuel pump (it works and whilst internal connectors are a bit worn, they're OK.)
7. New fuel (just in case it was a bad batch)
8. Cleaned carbs again (see above)
9. Valve timings.

And now I'm all out of possible fixes. Any suggestions welcome.

PS. I'm not that ham fisted but just in case all work was carried out under supervision of time served bike mechanic. (Suzuki trained- so I always double check his work ;-) )

I’m in the exact same boat with my F3. Thought it was bad spark as my plugs were barely sparking. Cleaned the carbs many times, they’re probably the cleanest F3 carbs. I did a compression test and I’ve got 120psi to 135psi across all four cylinders. The compression is suppose to be 185psi to 191psi. Did a leak down and I’ve got air blowing by the rings into the case. Opened up the oil fill cap and it sounded like someone blowing across the top of a beer bottle.
My guess is things are just worn out as I’ve got 80k on the bike.

Fair call Marc. Looks like a compression test is in my future then. I'll be very annoyed as I'm only on 44k miles and I've been very strict on 4k oil changes.

Did you check the starter? And the kill switch/kickstand censors?
