the bike needs to go for a really good hard ride to blow all the hydro carbons that has built up in the engine and exhaust out, if you take it out the morning of the test and really get the revs up you will find that it will probably pass. Bike that only get short runs tend to have higher emissions coz the engine gets coked up.

i agree with mike you need to ride the bike really hard before you take it in to be smoged and dont let it sit for a long time when you get down there. also make sure the bike is running correctly in the 1st place (spark plugs, etc)

2 things...

1. Where are you located....so I know never to live there....

2. When getting my racecar through emissions, I'd buy a product called "Guarenteed To Pass". Put it in the tank with some water in fuel treatment stuff, run it till the tank was 3/4 way down then go the emissions. I've taken cars in with all the emissions disabled/removed and gotten better results than new cars get. My old Z24 fast passedwith an "Engine Underpowered" fault from the emissions computer, even though it was a modded motor.
