Default Buying a F3 have a question please

so my 98 F3 was totaled end of last season due to a idiot rear ending me at a stop sign. well about a month or so it will be that time again and id love another f3. i found a gorgeous 95 f3 that looks to be well maintained for 2800 obo however it has 30k miles on it. i was wondering if i should be skeptical with the 30k my old one only has 16k but im not sure what they usually run to. any advice?

I bought my 95 with only 15k on it last summer, I wouldnt be skeptical unless the gauges have been changed or anything. I dont know that I would spend that much on a 95 f3 though. Here in colorado there are ppl on craigslist selling f4i's for less than that

IMO i wouldnt pay that much for an F3 with that many miles! you can find a ton of new bikes for that price or a little bit more. i was looking at a 03 r6 for 3 last year. i have a 98 with 37k and its still running strong though.

i know where youre coming from with the NY pricing.... i just got my 98 SJE for $3200 with 7800 miles on it. but i have seen some 97 for less than $2500 with between 12000 - 20000 miles on them. honda is a way to go man. so if you can find one in PA for cheaper it would be worth a drive.

In the March 2010 issue of Sport rider there is a letter from a guy in Iowa who has a 92 f2 with 135,000 miles on it( yeah its not a typo). It said he's on his third r/r, and that he put a manual cct on just before 100,000 miles. He also said it was dynoed at 78.3 hp at 50,000 miles and 78.5 hp at 100,000 miles. Just goes to show you that with care these bikes just dont quit.

Lots of people are over pricing their bikes. Before I got my F3, I scanned craigslist every day looking for either a 650R, SV650, CBR600 or a zx-6r. All the forums online were telling me prices, but the for sale prices were much higher. MUCH higher.

If I were you, I'd haggle the crap out of the people you're trying to buy from. Sounding like I knew a lot about bikes helped me out. Some guy thought I was a dealership lowballing him haha.

but I picked up my 97 F3 w/ ~20K miles for $1,800. Needs new tires and some other stuff, but I wouldn't have paid any more for it. You'll eventually find the right price.
