Broken Oil Pump Chain

I just bought (gambled on) a 95' f3 that looks to have a broken oil pump chain upon inspection of the oil pan. I was told the clutch was out but expected worse. I haven't cranked the engine over yet. It's seems to be a basket case. What do you guys think?

Broken chain found in the bottom of the pan.

I think there should be a chain on that smaller sprocket on the lower right.

Hope you don’t mind but that’s a pretty nasty sump. I’d expect some issues with engine internals. Broken oil pump is never going to be good. How does the rest of the bike look and how’s the wiring ?
A guaranteed second hand engine might be worth considering in the long run.
I’d give it a shot at trying to get her running just to prove it but would only spend time and not a lot of money on her. Keep the cash for new motor.
I hope you don’t think that was a bit brutal on the old girl and I love to see bikes resurrected so go for it. Get her back on the road mate.
