Default Brake Pads

I know there are a lot of threads already about brake pads, but i've done my searching and couldn't find anything about decent pads for street use.

My pads are running low and was wondering what type of pads should i get thatwill be derable for the front and rear tires?

I also don't really want high performence pads because they will eat up the rotors, and won't last that long.
Also how much am I looking at spending.

P.S. I've already got SS brake lines.

Organics are easiest on the rotors, but will wear out a bit faster than semi metallics.

Other info is available here.

EBC is all you need. They make different tiers of performance pads, but the off-the-shelf EBC pads are the way to go.

The fronts cost me about $25 each for the front and $19 for the rear.

HH will eat a rotor if you are at the track every weekend.....and even then it takes a LONG time. Last year a friend of mine did 3000 track only miles...his rotors were fine.

DP, Vesrah, EBC, Ferodo, Galferall make good pads.

I stick to organics on the rear...last thing you need is more stopping power on the rear wheel when the OEM stuff is enough to lock the wheel.

This is going to sound stupid but you need to buy two setsfor the front (one set for each rotor)and one for the rear right?

I won't dispute the quality of some of the aftermarket pads out there but don't immediately rule out the stock pads. The stock pads are very good pads and most won't notice any difference between them and aftermarket pads unless under track conditions.

Default RE: Brake Pads

stock parts for brakes wont hurt . as said ebc is good but you wont feel a difference in braking by just running more expensive pads you would feel it if you change your rotors put in some steel braided lines n yeah then some high performance pads. otherwise stock in this issue is ok
