Nah buddy, it's not.
2 bolts, that's it (after you remove your side fairings, that is).
I've got a write-up on here walking through it, and I'm sure there are others if I recall correctly.
If you've got a ratchet and sockets you're qualified to swap the parts.

I got the APE manual CCT today and I'm going to install it tomorow
Question though: Should I installit when the bike iscold or hot?
and the instructions that came with the APE CCT say to removecam chain cover, rotate the crank, pull the chain down between the cams and then screw the CCT until theres a 1/4"-3/8" play (might be alittle off)
Is that a better way to do it or is the screw it in finger tight, fire it up turn it till its quiet method the same?
