Bike not running well at all after carb clean

Bike has no power through the gears and sounds rough as a badgers arse.

I had the carbs off this weekend and cleaned them, changed the grotty air filter to a K&N one, put it all back together and now the bike is about as quick as a moped and sounds like a diesel truck!

Anyone know what I might have done wrong??

This is my daily commuter so any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

No advice here. I just took apart my carbs today and started cleaning them. So I hope you or someone figures out what was done wrong so I dont do the same. Did you attach the hose underneath the top right of the airbox

Did you remove the pilot jets to clean the carbs? If so, how many turns out did you set the pilot jet?

I think that is where my problem lies. In a lapse of concentration I just wound the pilot jets back in as far as the go until they were finger tight.

Taking it to a garage today for them to sort.

Oops!

That is DEFINITELY a problem. Unless you can properly tune it, turn them 2 turns out from the fully tight position. That will be a good starting point. If you have time and the tools to do the proper tuning, turn them all out 1.5 turns and follow the tuning instructions (you'll need a separate tach and curved carb screwdriver).
