Hey guys, so I have ordered a new r/r, but I am curious about something...I recently purchased a new battery for my 95 f3 and I have the clymer manual. According to the manual, A fully charged battery is over 12.8v...the thing is, when I use my charger it never gets any higher than 12.4v...could this brand new battery be garbage? Maybe my charger is to blame? Thanks for your input.

 

That sounds fine to me. When you rev it to over 5k rpm you should spike the voltage a little...up to 14ish. If the bike starts fine, after sitting for a day, then your battery is fine

 

So I've put on the suzuki gsxr r/r and so far there seem to be no problems. I'm still riding around with a 2nd battery in my backpack just in case I get stranded again, but it seems to be working just fine. I drilled two new holes for the r/r since it is bigger than the Honda r/r. I cut the connectors off the bike and the gsxr r/r and connected the black wires to the yellow wires, the red/black wire to the red, and the black/white wire to the green. The new r/r fits well with the new holes I drilled. I'll keep you guys posted.
