Default Backfiring and gurgling since slip-on install.

Rode to work today for the first time since adding my D&D slip-on. I'm getting tons of gurgling and popping everytime I let off the throttle at all. I would get a little popping with the stock pipe but it wasn't bothering me really. But this seems like something is wrong. Ideas? Thanks!

I know on cars with free flowing exhausts, an exhaust leak can cause this.

D&D's gurgle like that, they're meant to sound good when reving, mine pops a lot when I let completely off the throttle as well
I dont think it's a problem, I think it's just how the exhaust is built

if you haven't seen my video yet, check it out, see if it sounds like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4JPOde064c (not trying to spam, lol)
if so, it should be fine, I didnt rev it high enough for the pops in the video, those hit after about 8k rpm

Yeah it pretty much sounds like that. But it's different when I'm riding. It really gurgles and pops a ton. Maybe it's normal, I don't know. I just hope I don't need to re-jet or have carb work done.

Here's a video I just took. You can't hear the popping though.

Did you re-jet or have any carb work done at all? I've been reading that too much popping could mean a lean condition which is bad.

I believe it's only a sign of an issue if it pops when you're just riding around cruising. when you're cruising to a stop and it pops while you're in drive, that's quite normal. every bike i've had so far have done it.

My bike is all stock in the engine. no work/jetting/ etc.
