so ive been trying to figure out the problem ive been having trying to hook up my switchback led's
this is how they are supposed to work...
YouTube - ‪Side Glow Two Color LED Strip Lights‬‏
there is one ground wire, one positive for the amber led's, and one positive for the white led's
the whites are supposed to be hooked up to the drl positive, and the ambers get the turn signal positive. when i hook it up as described, the white lights do not light up during the "turn" phase. my best guess is that when you click the turn signal, it disables the power going to the drl's...
YouTube - ‪turn signals‬‏
then i changed the power source for the white led's to the low beam headlight positive. the signals now work like they should, but when the bike is running they start to flicker like crazy after a short time.
YouTube - ‪led turn signals‬‏
ive tried installing 1n4001 diodes in the positive wires, but they dont help anything. does anyone have any ideas of what i could do to get these working as they should?

meh not really, thats more the reason why i wanted to try keeping the pics limited before it was actually finished..i wanted it to be more of an "unveiling" from the idea of it to finished product. but who am i kidding, ill probably never get this damn bike finished anyways...lol. go for it
