How does the brake lever feel when you're squeezing it? Does it move smoothly or does it feel a little sticky and grabby? What color is the brake fluid in the reservoir? It should be clear. If it's tan or brown it indicates moisture/water in the fluid. Flushing the brake fluid will help make the lever move more smoothly.
