I have used the shinko rear for drag racing which hook like a bitch but for street riding they didn't last as long as Dunlop 207's.

 

Did you get one or two riding season out of them. If you got two season, I think that is good.

My riding habits is Low, but most of my riding will be on the highway and not that much deep leans or lane changes. But a whole lot of braking though.

 

Spent most of my day on the net doing some research at different forum on the Shinko tires. I my opinion of what I read, is that most rider that gave thumbs down didn't even ride on the tire, say the tires are too cheap to be any good an wouldn't buy the because of so.

They think the more it cost the better the tire. Out of the let say 85% of the riders that uses the tire gave thumbs up, 10% didn't even used them and gave thumbs down base solely onthe cost factor, and the last 5% of the rider didn't like them because they were not stable in knee dragging leans.

As for the stealership giving thumbs down, is because they lose money. Look at me if I was to go to the dealer and buy two set of tire, I would have be spending cost to $700.00 (tire alone). Instead, I get two sets of tire for $346.48 shipped. The dealer just lost $700.00 of course the goingto down play this tire.

Most riders complain on how expensive tires are and when somebody come out with a cheaper set, the don't want to use them because they are cheaper than Metz, Dun, and Pir.

From what I gather, I think I will be happy with my new set of rubbers.

Hey njdnjh It was 2 season for regular street riding and 1 season on drag strip but that was alot of third gear burn outs. HAHA
